Graduation Exam Review Material from ASDE Website!

Here is some information from the SDE website (www.alsde.edu)  that may assist with studying for the Alabama High School Graduation Examination.

Step 1:  From the ALSDE Home Page, [look to the left side of page], CLICK on SECTIONS
Step 2:  Then CLICK on Classroom Improvement
Step 3:  CLICK Publications
Step 4:  Click under Assessment, "Item Specifications" or "Item Specs"

An item specification has a distinct purpose and provides essential information concerning the testing of an objective. Item specifications will follow this order:

STANDARD---Broad area of content to be assessed
OBJECTIVE---Specific skill within a standard to be assessed
ELIGIBLE CONTENT---Clarification and elaboration of an objective
SAMPLE ITEMS---Item formats to test each objective.  The sample items in this bulletin will not be found on the pre-graduation examination or the AHSGE. The number of sample items in this bulletin does
not necessarily reflect the weight of the content on the test. In order to identify the weight of the content, the following chart shows the number of items for each social studies objective.

The Item Specifications are simply test items similar to the questions on the exam. Also the American Book Company, out of Woodstock GA. has tutoring booklets with a pre- and post-diagnostic test for
all AHSGE subjects tested.
